Occupants Escape Early Morning House Fire in North Potomac
A fire broke out early Sunday morning in North Potomac forcing residents to evacuate.
The fire started around 2:30 a.m. in the garage of a two-story North Potomac home on the 14100 block of Saddle River Drive. The fire was at an advanced stage when Montgomery County firefighters arrived. More than 50 personnel from both Prince George’s and Montgomery County were called to help control the heavy fire conditions.
The fire was put out at approximately 4 a.m.
The fire caused about $1.2 million in damage and a partial collapse of the home, according to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue. Occupants of the home escaped without injury. The cause of the fire is undetermined at this point.
