NWS Issues Winter Weather Advisory for Montgomery County
The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for northwest central and southeastern Montgomery County for this afternoon and tonight.
A wintery mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain is expected to develop late this afternoon and continue through tonight. According to the advisory, warmer air will move in and gradually change the mixed precipitation over to rain over the Baltimore and Washington, D.C. metro areas. There remains some uncertainty with regard to how long the cold air will remain in place.
Motorists are urged to use caution when traveling on local roads.
