NWS Extends Winter Weather Advisory

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory from now until 8 a.m. on Dec. 9 for freezing rain and sleet in northwest Montgomery County.

According to the advisory, residents may see a wintry mix of freezing rain and sleet and accumulations of less than a tenth of an inch of ice.

The precipitation is expected to change to all rain on Tuesday morning. Temperatures are expected to be around 30 degrees and winds are expected to be 5 to 10 mph.

Motorists are advised to use caution on area roads, which may be slippery and where visibility may be limited.
