NWS Issues Wind Advisory for Montgomery County
UPDATED The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for Montgomery County, effective from now thru midnight on Sunday, as a cold front is moving into the area.
According to the NWS, the winds are expected to blow out of the west from 15 – 25 mph with gusts up to 55 mph.
These strong winds may blow down limbs, trees and power lines, according to the advisory. Scattered power outages may occur as well.
A wind advisory means that winds of 45 to 55 mph are expected. This can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
