UPDATED: NWS Issues Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Portions of Montgomery County
UPDATED 4:30 p.m. The National Weather Service has extended a severe thunderstorm warning from 4:30 p.m. until 5:15 p.m. for portions of Montgomery County, including Germantown, Damascus, Gaithersburg, Olney and Montgomery Village.

ORIGINAL POST The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a severe thunderstorm watch from now until 10 p.m. for Montgomery County.
Residents are advised to remain alert for severe weather.
Damaging winds, hail and flash floods are all concerns, according to the NWS.
