NWS Issues Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Portions of Montgomery County
The sky over Gaithersburg on Sunday afternoon as winds pick up.
The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a severe thunderstorm warning from now until 5 p.m. for portions of Montgomery County, including Germantown, Rockville, Gaithersburg, Potomac, North Potomac, Redland, Darnestown, Derwood, Cabin John and Washington Grove.
Winds may gust up to 60 mph and will cause trees and large branches to fall. Power outages may occur.
