NWS Issues Flash Flood Warning for Montgomery County, Severe Thunderstorm Warning
The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning until 7:15 p.m. for portions of Montgomery County.
According to the warning, thunderstorms are producing heavy rain across the area. Up to three inches have already fallen and more rain is expected. The locations that may experience flooding are Germantown, Gaithersburg, Olney, Montgomery Village, Redland, Washington Grove, Laytonsville and Brookeville, according to the NWS. A severe thunderstorm warning is in effect until 5 p.m. Monday.
Remember, turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads.
