Nunsense A-Men! at Arts Barn

Rockville Musical Theatre presents the musical comedy Nunsense A-Men! at the Arts Barn located at 311 Kent Square Road, Gaithersburg. The show runs April 5 through April 21 with performances on Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. Tickets range from $16 – $18 and may be purchased by calling 301.25.6394 or online at www.gaithersburgmd.gov/theater.

Described as “Mrs. Doubtfire enters the convent,” Nunsense A-Men! replaces the traditional female cast of the original Nunsense with men playing the Little Sisters of Hoboken. Besides the casting change, the script remains exactly the same. Sister Julia, the cook, accidentally poisons 52 of the sisters, leaving the remaining few to oversee their costly burial. The sisters get creative and put on a madcap talent show to raise money. Originally performed in Brazil as Novicas Rebeldes, this version of Nunsense premiered in New York to rave reviews and standing ovations.
