Northwest, Damascus Heading to Annapolis for State Title Games

Two Montgomery County teams, Northwest and Damascus, are gearing up for their respective state football title games on back-to-back nights this week at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis.

The Swarmin’ Hornets of Damascus (12-2) take on the Linganore Lancers (12-1) from Frederick in the 3A state championship game on Thursday at 7 pm.

The Northwest Jaguars (12-1), coming off their big upset over previously unbeaten Quince Orchard, will take on Wise (14-0) from Upper Marlboro in the 4A state championship game on Friday at 7:30 pm.

Tickets ($10 each or 4 for $32) are available in advance or at the stadium.
