North Bethesda Ranked as Best Place to Live in Maryland by Niche

Pike & Rose for slider 450 x280North Bethesda has been named the best place to live in Maryland in 2016 by Niche, an online site that provides rankings, report cards, and reviews of cities, colleges, neighborhoods, and K-12 schools.

North Bethesda also cracked Niche’s “2016 Best Places to Live in America” top 25 list, ranking 18, while Forest Glen ranked 24th.

Statewide, 21 Montgomery County neighborhoods made the top 25 list. This includes: North Bethesda (1); Forest Glen (2); Kemp Mill (4); South Kensington (5); Somerset (6); North Potomac (7); Chevy Chase Village (8); Rockville (9); Bethesda (10); Chevy Chase Town (11); Chevy Chase (12); North Kensington (14); Gaithersburg (15); Kensington (18); Montgomery Village (19); Burtonsville (20); Silver Spring (21); Takoma Park (22); Travilah (23); Germantown (24); and Redland (25).

Niche bases rankings by gathering data from the U.S. Census Bureau, Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI), and other organizations. Factors considered include grades based on, cost of living, education, public schools, real estate, diversity, health and fitness, nightlife, shortest commute, crime and safety, family amenities, jobs, outdoor activities, and weather.
