Nonprofit Organization Holding Drive-Thru Food Distribution in Germantown Tuesday Afternoon

Two organizations are working to ensure people needing assistance with food don’t go hungry. BlackRock Center’s Upcounty Consolidation Hub and Nourish Now – a nonprofit food bank – is holding a drive-thru food distribution Tuesday afternoon from 2 to 4 p.m. at Germantown Elementary School, 19110 Liberty Mill Road.

People attending the food distribution are asked to remain in their cars while they are given the groceries. Food will be distributed while supplies last. People without a car are also welcomed and are asked to contact hubeblackrockcenter.org.

Nourish Now is a nonprofit food bank focusing on food recovery and donations from grocers, caterers, restaurants, and bakeries. The organization was created in 2011 and is located in Rockville.  Nourish Now is also holding additional food distribution events Tuesday at the following locations and times:

Fireside Apartments from 1 to 2 p.m.
In partnership with Ritchie Park Elementary School
735 Monroe Street, Rockville

Mt. Calvary Church from 1 to 3 p.m.
