Nightly Lane Closures on Outer Loop Will Continue Through Friday

Drivers can expect nightly lane closures on the Capital Beltway Outer Loop between MD 190 (River Road) and Clara Barton Parkway, the Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) said in a statement. 

Maintenance began Sunday on the Persimmon Tree Road bridge over the beltway. It will continue each night between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. and is scheduled to be done by Friday. Crews will close one lane at 9 p.m., two at 10 p.m. and three at 11 p.m. and will work to repair the outer edges of steel beams on the bridge.
