New Speed Monitoring in Rockville

photo of cars on roadNew cameras are eyeing drivers in Rockville neighborhoods.  The Rockville City Police Department has a new speed monitoring system in place at the 500 block of N. Horners Lane. Police say portable cameras and mobile vans are being used in an effort  to reduce the number of speeding vehicles in City of Rockville neighborhoods.

While the system is fully operational, no citations will be issued in July.  Citations will be issued starting August 3rd for vehicles exceeding the speed limit by 12 mph or more.
