National Weather Service Issues Heat Advisory for Montgomery County

thirst istock heat sun hotThe National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory for Montgomery County that is effective from noon – 8 p.m. on Monday, July 25.

According to the Advisory, temperatures are expected to be in the mid 90s to around 100.

A Heat Advisory means that a period of high temperatures is expected. The combination of high temps and high humidity may create a combination in which heat illnesses are possible.

Residents are advised to take extra precautions if they work or spend time outside. You should reschedule strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Also, know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. Wear light and loose fitting clothing when possible, and drink plenty of water.
