Multicultural Adults Struggle with English Literacy (Video)

Montgomery County is known as one of the most literate places in the nation, but there is a part of the community that struggles with being unable to read, write and speak in English.

About 130 thousand adults are limited in communicating in English and working to decrease this number is a concern the Literacy Council of Montgomery County knows well. Tamika Smith reports.

Executive Director Marty Stephens says volunteers are needed. To volunteer with the Literacy Council of Montgomery County call 301.610.0030 or email info@literacycouncilmcmd.org.
