Montgomery Police Helping NYPD in Search for Mother Whose Son Died
Montgomery County police investigators are helping the New York City Police Department search for a woman whose 5-year-old son died in January 2017, a Montgomery County police statement said.
NYPD believes Phyllis Reinoso, 31, may be in Maryland and has spent some time in Montgomery County, according to a county police statement released Wednesday.
According to news reports, Reinoso told police her son Michael Guzman, who suffered from epilepsy, was found unconscious in bed about 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 22, 2017, in their Queens apartment. She found the boy with vomit around his mouth, the reports said.
EMS responded and took the boy to Jamaica Hospital where he was pronounced dead, the Montgomery County statement said. The incident was deemed a homicide.
