Montgomery Parks to Host Pumpkin Patch Hike

In an effort to celebrate this Halloween during a challenging time, Montgomery Parks announced that they will host a pumpkin patch hike on Friday, October 30.

The hike, which will be located at the Locust Grove Nature Center, will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m to accommodate younger children. The hike travels through the woods on natural surface trails (not stroller accessible). Montgomery Parks recommends that children attending the hike should be comfortable in the woods in the evening.

Registration is now open and is available until Wednesday, October 28. Fees for registering are $2 per person for both adults and children. By registering, families are eligible to win a prize for completing the hike. Montgomery Parks will not be accepting drop-ins on the day of the hike.

This pumpkin patch hike follows the best practices for social distancing since the program is outdoor only. Anyone looking to help space traffic on the trails can do so by registering for a time slot using the SubActivity feature.
