Montgomery County Teen Dies in Ocean City Riptide

800px-Ocean_City_Maryland_aerial_view_northUPDATED: A teen from Montgomery County has died after he was caught in an Ocean City riptide on Monday afternoon (June 2), according to Ocean City Police spokesperson Lindsay O’Neal.

Ocean City Police identified the teen as Don Pen Soh Boma, 18, from Burtonsville, Md.

The teen was pronounced dead at Atlantic General Hospital in Berlin, Maryland after Ocean City Beach Patrol lifeguards rescued him from the water, O’Neal said.

He was in the ocean with two other swimmers who were also rescued from the rip current by lifeguards. The two other swimmers had no major injuries.
