Montgomery County Recreation to Extend Hours at Five Community Centers
Beginning July 5, Montgomery County Recreation is extending its Friday and Saturday hours to 11:00 pm at five community recreation centers.
The centers are: East County, Good Hope, Long Branch, Plum Gar and White Oak. The extended hours will allow the community to continue gathering in safe places while enjoying the programs and activities that Montgomery County Recreation has to offer.
As of July 5, the five centers will be open on Friday and Saturday during the following hours:
- East County (Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. – 11 p.m.)
3310 Gateshead Manor Way, Silver Spring - Good Hope (Friday and Saturday, noon – 11 p.m.)
14715 Good Hope Road, Silver Spring - Long Branch (Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. – 11 p.m.)
8700 Piney Branch Road, Silver Spring - Plum Gar (Friday, 9 a.m. – 11 p.m.; and Saturday, 10 a.m. – 11 p.m.)
19561 Scenery Drive, Germantown - White Oak (Friday and Saturday: 9 a.m. – 11 p.m.)

The extended hours were funded in the County’s Fiscal Year 2020 budget, which begins on July 1, 2019. The new community recreation center in Wheaton, which is scheduled to open later this year, will also have extended hours on Fridays and Saturdays.
