1 p.m. – 3 p.m. This five-week course was created by UCLA Center of Aging. The class provides memory improvement techniques designed to work for everyone. The course explains how memory works; offers quick strategies for remembering names, faces and numbers; provides basic memory tools; and maximizes the effectiveness of using memory aids such as lists. Each class includes multiple hands-outs including a summary and skill-builder (homework) to reinforce what has been learned. The cost of the class includes “The Memory Bibles” by Dr. Gary Small. (This program is not intended for people with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia). $25. To register call 301.754.8800.
