Montgomery County Public Libraries Add Hours at Five Branches During Summer Months

Longer Summer Weekend Evening Hours for Five Branches

Montgomery County Public Libraries’ (MCPL) hours increase at five branches from June 1 through Aug. 25.  The five branches will be open Friday evenings and Saturdays during the summer.

The extended weekend hours began in 2016 at the Rockville Memorial Library.  Funding was added to expand the extended summer weekend hours to four additional branches.

“Our libraries play a vital role in our community, and the extended weekend hours over the past summers allowed residents who work long hours during the week to still be able to use our resources and services,” said Acting MCPL Director Anita Vassallo. “We are excited to be able to offer these hours again.”

The added hours for the branches are:

Connie Morella (Bethesda), 7400 Arlington Road, Bethesda; Friday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. – 9 p.m.

Gaithersburg, 18330 Montgomery Village Avenue, Gaithersburg; Friday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. – 9 p.m.

Germantown, 19840 Century Boulevard, Germantown; Friday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. – 9 p.m.

Rockville Memorial, 21 Maryland Avenue, Rockville; Friday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. – 9 p.m.

Silver Spring, 900 Wayne Avenue, Silver Spring; Friday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. – 9 p.m
