Montgomery County Police Vehicle Auction Set for Saturday
The vehicle recovery section of the Montgomery County Police Department hosts a monthly auction in order to sell abandoned or seized vehicles. Gates open at 7:30 a.m. and then the auction starts at 9 a.m.
The location of the auction is 305 Metropolitan Grove Road in Gaithersburg.
The vehicle recovery section removes abandoned, unregistered, and junk vehicles from county roads and community neighborhoods which then may be sold at auction.
Participants must be 18 years or older and have a valid ID in order to participate in the auction.
The next auction takes place on Saturday, February 23.
A list of vehicles in the next auction may be viewed online at the Montgomery County Police Vehicle Recovery Unit web page. The police may withdraw vehicles from the auction at any time.
