Rockville:

A commercial burglary occurred at the Hinode Restaurant at 134 Congressional Lane between about 11:30 p.m. Aug. 10 and about 10 a.m. on Aug. 11. Forced entry; cash was taken.

A theft from vehicle occurred in the 12200 block of Braxfield Court between about 6 p.m. Aug. 8 and about 1 p.m. Aug. 9. No force; vehicle parts were taken.

Two men committed an armed robbery in the 200 block of Derwood Circle early Aug. 15. One man displayed a weapon. The men took the adult male victim’s cash and property. One man is between the ages of 40 and 49; the other between the ages of 30 and 38.

An attempted residential burglary occurred in the 11000 block of Potomac Oaks Drive between about 1 p.m. and about 5 p.m. Aug. 9.

A commercial burglary occurred at the Zips Dry Cleaning at 901 Rockville Pike between about 11:41 p.m. Aug. 16 and about 1 a.m. Aug. 17. Forced entry; cash and property were taken.

A commercial burglary occurred at the Hinode Restaurant at 134 Congressional Lane early Aug. 17. Forced entry; cash was taken.

The three following commercial burglaries were committed by the same suspect early Aug. 20:

  • At the Hinode Restaurant at 134 Congressional Lane. Forced entry; cash was taken.
  • At the Baskin Robbins at 1617 Rockville Pike. Forced entry; nothing was taken.
  • At the ChopT Restaurant at 1625 Rockville Pike. Forced entry; cash and property were taken.

A commercial burglary occurred at the Starbucks at 12091 Rockville Pike early Aug. 17. Forced entry; nothing was taken.

A 29-year-old man of an unconfirmed address was arrested in conjunction with a commercial burglary at the Montgomery County Coalition for the Homeless at 600 E. Gude Drive at about 7:30 a.m. Aug. 17. Forced entry; cash was taken.

Multiple thefts from vehicles occurred between about 10:30 p.m. on Aug. 17 and about 12 p.m. on Aug. 18. Affected streets included Needwood Road, Wick Lane, Equestrian Lane and Muncaster Mill Road. No force, multiple vehicles were reported to have been left unlocked, unknown means of entry into the other vehicles; cash and property were taken.

Two thefts from vehicles and two residential garage burglaries occurred at two homes in the 7400 block on Ottenbrook Terrace between about 11 p.m. Aug. 17 and about 2 a.m. Aug. 18. No signs of forced entries, both garage doors were reported to have been left open and both vehicles were reported to have been left unlocked; property was taken.

A residential garage burglary occurred in the 400 block of Nature Lane between about 7:30 p.m. and about 11:30 p.m. Aug. 18. No signs of forced entry, the garage door was reported to have been left open; property was taken.

A 17-year-old Gaithersburg male was arrested in conjunction with a commercial burglary at GSF Realty Care of Keypoint Partners at 2401 Wootton Parkway early Aug. 20. No signs of forced entry, a door was reported to have been left unlocked; nothing was taken. One suspect was arrested.

A burglary and vandalism of a storage shed occurred at Jones Lane Elementary School at 15110 Jones Lane about 9:27 a.m. Aug. 20. Forced entry; property was taken and the building was vandalized.

Bethesda:

An 18-year-old male from Chevy Chase was arrested in conjunction with an aggravated assault in the 2800 block of East West Highway early Aug. 11. The suspect displayed a weapon.

A residential garage burglary and an attempted residential burglary occurred at the same home in the 11300 block of Hollowstone Drive between about 4 p.m. and about 7 p.m. on Aug. 13. No signs of forced entry into the garage; nothing was taken.

Multiple thefts from vehicles occurred between about 9:30 a.m. Aug. 8 and about 7:30 a.m. Aug. 15. Affected streets included Schuylkill, Glenmore Spring and Fenway roads; Lilly Stone, Ashley, Monongahela and Carderock drives; Wilwyn and Glenmore Spring Way; and Carderock Court. No force, multiple vehicles were reported to have been left unlocked, unknown means of entry into the other vehicles; cash and property were taken.

A residential burglary occurred in the 6700 block of Tulip Hill Terrace between about 3:30 p.m. Aug. 12 and about 7:45 a.m. Aug. 13. No signs of forced entry; property was taken.

A 16-year-old male was arrested in conjunction with a residential garage burglary in the 5300 block of Worthington Drive between about 4 p.m. and about 6 p.m. Aug. 13. No signs of forced entry, the garage was reported to have been left open; property was taken.

A commercial burglary occurred at the Congressional Country Club at 8500 River Road between about 10 p.m. Aug. 10 and about 12:01 a.m. Aug. 11.

Three thefts from vehicles occurred between Aug. 14 and Aug. 21. Affected streets included Farmington Court, Grubb Road, and Spencer Road. Force was reported in one event, one vehicle was reported to have been left unlocked, unknown means of entry into the other vehicle; property was taken.

A theft from vehicle and an attempted residential garage burglary occurred at the same residence in the 3200 block of Farmington Drive early Aug. 21. No force, unknown means of entry into the vehicle, the culprit(s) used the garage door opener left in the vehicle to open the garage door; nothing was taken.

A 27-year-old man with an unconfirmed address was arrested in conjunction with a residential burglary occurred in the 11000 block of Madison Street at about 5:30 p.m. Aug. 17. No signs of forced entry; nothing was taken. The suspect was arrested.

A commercial shed burglary occurred in the 4100 block of Plyers Mill Road between about 9 a.m. Aug. 19 and about 7:45 a.m. Aug. 21. Forced entry; property was taken.

Two commercial burglaries occurred in the 5000 block of Nicholson Lane:

  •  At G-W Management Services between about 6 p.m. Aug. 16 and about 5:50 a.m. Aug. 17. Forced entry; property was taken.
  •  At Conynham Sales Co. between about 6 p.m. Aug. 16 and about 7:48 a.m. Aug. 17. Forced entry; nothing was taken.

A purse snatching occurred in the 6200 block of Montrose Road at about 12:35 p.m. Aug. 17.

Silver Spring:

Two vehicle thefts occurred in the following areas:

  • In the 8500 block of Springvale Road between about 12 p.m. Aug. 6 and about 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 7. Unknown entry; spare keys were reported to have been left inside the vehicle.
  • In the 2100 block of Hildarose Drive between about 3:30 p.m. Aug. 11 and about 8:14 p.m. Aug. 13. Unknown entry.

An attempted motorcycle theft occurred in the 2100 block of Bonnywood Lane early Aug. 12.

Multiple thefts from vehicles on Mount Pisgah, Royalton and Beacon roads; Lockwood, Southampton, Burnt Ember and Oak Leaf drives; 13th, Easley and Cameron streets; Draper Lane; and Hartford, Silver Spring and Richmond avenues. Force was reported in multiple events, three vehicles were reported to have been left unlocked, unknown means of entry into the other vehicles; cash and property were taken.

A man and two women committed a strong-arm robbery near Hidden Valley Lane and Serpentine Way about 6:03 p.m. Aug. 10. The three took the adult male victim’s cash. A 21-year-old Silver Spring woman was arrested. Police seek a man and a woman, both between the ages of 18 and 25 years old.

An attempted residential burglary occurred in the 14000 block of Daleshire Way between about 8 p.m. Aug. 9 and about 8 a.m. Aug. 10.

A commercial burglary occurred at the 1st Avenue Hair Design at 8713 1st Ave. between about 9 p.m. Aug. 17 and about 10:10 a.m. Aug. 18. No signs of forced entry, a door was reported to have been left unlocked; property was taken.

A bank strong-arm robbery occurred at the Capitol One Bank at 8676 Georgia Ave. about 1:55 p.m. Aug. 18. The suspect stole cash.

Police seek two men and a woman in conjunction with an armed robbery near Georgia and Eastern avenues early Aug. 19. One of the three displayed a weapon. The three took the four adult victims’ property. One man and the woman are believed to be between the ages of 20 and 29. The other man’s age was not determined.

Two men attempted a commercial armed robbery at the Rite Aid at 1411 East West Highway early Aug. 22. One man displayed a weapon.

Three men are sought for an armed robbery that occurred in the 8500 block of Piney Branch Road about 5:30 a.m. Aug. 21. One man displayed a weapon. The suspects assaulted the adult male victim and took his cash and property.

Two men are sought for a residential storage unit burglary in the 1500 block of Hampshire West Court early Aug. 19. Forced entry; property was taken.

Two residential burglaries occurred in the following areas:

  • In the 1500 block of Regent Manor Court between about 9 a.m. Aug. 17 and about 8 p.m. Aug. 18. Forced entry; property was taken.
  • In the 1600 block of Carriage House Terrace at about 4:09 p.m. on Aug. 18. Forced entry; property was taken. A 31-year-old man from Washington, D.C., was arrested. A second man is sought.

A residential garage burglary and theft from vehicle occurred at the same home in the 100 block of Cabin Creek Court between about 10 p.m. and about 10:30 p.m. Aug. 20. No signs of forced entry, the garage door was reported to have been left open and the vehicle was reported to have been left unlocked; property was taken.

A shooting occurred in the area of Cedar Tree Drive and Red Maple Court at about 2:53 p.m. on Aug. 21.

Wheaton:

An attempted residential burglary occurred in the 2000 block of Mayflower Drive early Aug. 14.

A residential burglary occurred in the 2700 block of Norbeck Road between about 8 a.m. and about 4:30 p.m. Aug. 15. Forced entry; property was taken.

Three thefts from vehicles occurred between Aug. 8 and Aug. 15. Affected streets included Fairhill Drive, Overton Lane and Shannon Court. No force, two vehicles were reported to have been left unlocked, unknown means of entry into the other vehicle; property was taken.

Four men are wanted in conjunction with a residential burglary in the 2400 block of Saint Albert Terrace early Aug. 12. No signs of forced entry, a door was reported to have been left unlocked; property was taken.

A motorcycle theft occurred in the 3600 block of Pear Tree Court between about 9:30 p.m. Aug. 11 and about 7:45 a.m. Aug. 12.

A 30-year-old man with an unconfirmed address was arrested for three attempted residential burglaries in the 2300-2400 blocks of Sun Valley Circle about 6 p.m. Aug. 14.

Three men are sought in conjunction with a strong-arm robbery in the 13700 block of Georgia Avenue at about 7:38 a.m. Aug. 15. The suspects assaulted the adult male victim and took his cash.

A woman is sought in conjunction with an attempted residential burglary in the 1800 block of Flint Hill Road between about 12:30 p.m. and about 2 p.m. Aug. 15.

A residential garage burglary, theft from vehicle and vehicle theft occurred at the same home in the 13200 block of Turkey Branch Parkway between about 10 p.m. Aug. 9 and about 6 a.m. Aug. 10. No signs of forced entry, the garage and both vehicles were reported to have been left unlocked; property was taken and the keys were reported to have been left inside the vehicle that was stolen. The stolen vehicle was recovered in D.C. on Aug. 10 and someone was arrested.

A residential burglary occurred in the 14800 block of Westbury Road between about 12 p.m. and about 1:30 p.m. Aug. 14. Forced entry; property was taken.

A commercial burglary occurred at WorkSource Montgomery at 11002 Veirs Mill Road between about 4:30 p.m. Aug. 1 and about 4:50 p.m. Aug. 9. Forced entry; property was taken.

A 22-year-old Silver Spring man was arrested in conjunction with a residential burglary in the 2300 block of Blueridge Avenue about 8:24 p.m. Aug. 10. Forced entry; nothing was taken.

A residential burglary occurred in the 100 block of Belton Road between about 7 a.m. and about 7 p.m. Aug. 9. Forced entry; property was taken.

A 30- to 39-year-old man is sought in conjunction with an armed robbery in the 11200 block of Georgia Avenue at about 9:48 p.m. Aug. 14. The man implied that he had a weapon and took the adult female victim’s property.

A theft from vehicle and vehicle theft occurred at the same residence in the 14100 block of Huckleberry Lane between about 12:30 a.m. and about 8 a.m. Aug. 16. No force, both vehicles were reported to have been left unlocked and a key was left inside the vehicle that was stolen. The stolen vehicle was recovered on Aug. 16.

Two thefts from vehicles occurred between about 7 p.m. Aug. 17 and about 6:50 a.m. Aug. 18. One theft occurred in the 14100 block of Punch Street and the second theft occurred in the area of Punch Street and Queensguard Road. No force, one vehicle was reported to have been left unlocked, unknown means of entry into the other vehicle; cash was taken.

Three thefts from vehicles occurred between Aug. 16 and Aug. 18. Affected streets included Chipping Court, Gelding Lane and Plum Run Way. No force, one vehicle was reported to have been left unlocked, unknown means of entry into the other vehicles; cash and property were taken.

A 34-year-old New Carrollton man was arrested for an attempted residential burglary in the 800 block of Brighton Knolls Drive about 8:22 a.m. Aug. 17.

A residential garage burglary occurred in the 1000 block of Brighton Dam Road between about 8:36 a.m. Aug. 19 and about 9 a.m. Aug. 22. Forced entry; property was taken.

A motorcycle theft occurred in the 3200 block of Hewitt Avenue early Aug. 17.

Three thefts from vehicles occurred between about 9 p.m. on Aug. 18 and about 7 a.m. on Aug. 19. Affected streets included Weller Road, Conger Street, and Barbara Road. No force, all vehicles were reported to have been left unlocked; cash and property were taken.

Three thefts from vehicles occurred between about 4 p.m. Aug. 15 and about 9:40 a.m. Aug. 16. Affected streets included Franwall Avenue, Orebaugh Avenue, and Monticello Avenue. No force, unknown means of entry into the vehicles; cash was taken.

Several thefts from vehicles occurred between Aug. 14 and Aug. 18. Affected streets included Jennings Court, Jennings Road, Amherst Avenue and Belton Road. Force was reported in one event, all other vehicles were reported to have been left unlocked; property was taken. Police arrested a 14-year-old boy from New Carrollton in the Jennings Road theft.

A 28-year-old man from Silver Spring was arrested in conjunction with an aggravated assault at Nando’s Peri Peri restaurant inside the Westfield Wheaton mall at 11160 Veirs Mill Road about 8:04 p.m. Aug. 19. The suspect assaulted the adult male victim. The suspect was arrested.

Germantown:

Two men are believed to have completed two attempted residential burglaries:

  • In the 11300 block of Halethorpe Terrace early Aug. 11.
  • In the 19500 block of Frederick Road early Aug. 14. No signs of forced entry; nothing was taken.

A residential barn burglary occurred in the 26000 block of Long Corner Road between about 7:30 p.m. Aug. 10 and about 5:10 a.m. Aug. 11. No signs of forced entry, the door was reported to have been left unlocked; property was taken.

A residential garage burglary occurred in the 7300 block of Rocky Road between about 7:30 p.m. Aug. 10 and about 8:30 a.m. Aug. 11. No signs of forced entry, the door was reported to have been left unlocked; property was taken.

Two men assaulted a male food delivery driver in a strong-arm robbery in the 19300 block of Churubusco Lane early Aug. 12. The culprits assaulted the adult male victim and took food.

A man and woman committed a residential burglary in the 12400 block of Hickory Tree Way between about 2 p.m. Aug. 13 and about 12 p.m. Aug. 14. Forced entry; property was taken.

A commercial burglary occurred at a construction site in the 22400 block of Cabin Branch Avenue between about 5 p.m. Aug. 4 and about 7 a.m. Aug. 7. No signs of forced entry; property was taken.

Three thefts from vehicles occurred between Aug. 16 and Aug. 19. Affected streets included White Barn Court, Bent Creek Terrace, and Major Drive. No force, all three vehicles were reported to have been left unlocked; property was taken.

Police are in search of a man, between the ages of 20 and 40, in conjunction with a residential burglary in the 19500 block of Frederick Road early Aug. 20. No signs of forced entry; nothing was taken.

An attempted residential burglary occurred in the 12100 block of Cypress Spring Road early Aug. 19.

A theft from vehicle occurred in the 12900 block of Churchill Ridge Circle early Aug. 18. No force; vehicle parts were taken.

A theft from vehicle and vehicle theft occurred at the same home in the 18000 block of Cottage Garden Drive between about 10 p.m. Aug. 15 and about 7:25 a.m. Aug. 16. Force, a key left inside the first vehicle was used to steal the second vehicle.

A residential burglary occurred in the 14300 block of Richter Farm Road between about 3 p.m. Aug. 19 and about 8 a.m. Aug. 20. No signs of forced entry, a door was reported to have been left unlocked; property was taken.

Multiple thefts from vehicles occurred during this reporting period. Affected streets included Jamieson Place, Caravan Drive, Caravan Court, Clear Smoke Road, Falconcrest Circle and Cloppers Mill Terrace. No force, unknown means of entry into the vehicles; cash and property were taken.

Montgomery Village:

Multiple thefts from vehicles occurred between Aug. 8 and Aug. 10. Affected streets included Diamond Cove Terrace, Gable Ridge Terrace, Holdcroft Lane, Lamont Lane and Blackwell Road. No force, multiple vehicles were reported to have been left unlocked, unknown means of entry into the other vehicles; cash and property were taken.

A 16-year-old male from Silver Spring has been arrested for a strong-arm robbery in the 18200 block of Contour Road about 7:08 p.m. Aug. 9. The individual assaulted the adult female victim and took her property.

A residential burglary occurred in the 18800 block of Walkers Choice Road early Aug. 15. Forced entry; property was taken.

A 38-year-old Montgomery Village man was charged with an aggravated assault in the 18600 block of Nathans Place early Aug. 16. The man displayed two weapons.

A residential garage burglary occurred in the 20200 block of Darlington Drive between about 11 p.m. Aug. 12 and about 8 a.m. Aug. 13. No signs of forced entry, the garage door was reported to have been left unlocked; property was taken.

A 27-year-old Frederick man was arrested for an attempted strong-arm robbery in the 18200 block of Swan Stream Drive about 10:02 p.m. Aug. 11. The man was charged with assaulting the adult male victim and attempted to take his property.

Police are in search of a woman, about age 40, in connection with an aggravated assault in the 9600 block of Lost Knife Circle about 2:16 p.m. Aug. 18. The suspect displayed a weapon and assaulted the three women.

Two men are sought in connection with a strong-arm robbery of a food delivery person in the 1000 block of Travis Lane about 11 p.m. Aug. 16. The men assaulted the adult male delivery person, and took cash and property.

Multiple thefts from vehicles occurred between Aug. 15 and Aug. 21. Affected streets included Laytonia Drive, Mayapple Court, Flower Hill Way, Cottonwood Drive and Meadow Vista Way. Force was reported in multiple events, multiple vehicles were reported to have been left unlocked; cash and property were taken.

Two vehicle thefts occurred in the following areas:

  • In the 18200 block of Flower Hill Way between about 10:30 a.m. and about 12 p.m. Aug. 21. Unknown entry. One man is sought.
  • In the 18300 block of Swan Stream Drive between about 10 p.m. on Aug. 21 and about 10:30 a.m. on Aug. 22. Unknown entry.
