Rockville District:
A theft from vehicle occurred in the 1700 block of East Jefferson Street between about 7:30 p.m. and about 9:22 p.m. July 7. Force; cash and property were taken.
Police seek two men, ages unknown, for a commercial burglary that occurred at the Castle Mini Storage at 12040 Parklawn Drive in the early morning hours of July 5. Forced entry; property was taken.
Police seek two men and a woman for a commercial burglary that occurred at the Montrose Wine and Liquor store at 12015 Rockville Pike in the early morning hours of July 10. Forced entry; merchandise was taken.
Bethesda District:
A residential garage burglary and a theft from vehicle occurred at the same home in the 3300 block of Rolling Road between about 11 p.m. July 4 and about 6 a.m. July 5. No signs of forced entry into the garage, the vehicle was reported to have been left unlocked; cash and property were taken.
Two vehicle thefts occurred:
- In the area of Jones Mill Road and East West Highway between about 2 a.m. and about 4 p.m. July 5. Unknown entry.
- A theft from vehicle and a vehicle theft occurred at the same home in the 3700 block of Cardiff Road between about 6:30 p.m. July 7 and about 6:30 a.m. July 8. Unknown entry; the vehicle keys were left inside the vehicle and property was taken from the other vehicle.
Multiple thefts from vehicles occurred between July 3 and July 9. Affected streets included Strathmore Hall, Nebel, Vale, Georgia, Surrey and Underwood streets; Colston Drive; Hunt, Cumberland, Willard, Dorset and Essex avenues; Spencer and Greenvale roads; Barbados Place; King Charles Way; and Kerry Lane. Force was reported in multiple events, multiple vehicles were reported to have been left unlocked, unknown means of entry into the other vehicles; cash and property were taken. At the Nebel Street theft, three males were seen, ages 17 to 21.
Four other thefts from vehicles occurred:
- In the 6800 block of Hillmead Road between about 3:30 p.m. July 5 and about 6:30 a.m. July 7. Force; property was taken.
- In the 7800 block of Wisconsin Avenue between about 6:45 p.m. and about 7:15 p.m. July 7. Force; property was taken.
- In the 5000 block of Elm Street between about 10 p.m. July 7 and about 11 a.m. July 8. No force; vehicle parts were taken.
- In the 3500 block of Perry Avenue between about 6 p.m. and about 9 a.m. July 7. No force, the vehicle was reported to have been left unlocked; property was taken.
A residential garage burglary and a theft from vehicle occurred in the 8900 block of McGregor Drive in the early morning hours of July 10. No signs of forced entry into the garage, unknown means of entry into the vehicle; cash and property were taken.
A commercial burglary occurred at the Wonder Fry Inc. at 5058-B Nicholson Lane between about 10 p.m. July 5 and about 7:10 a.m. July 6. Forced entry; cash was taken.
Police arrested a Fort Washington 24-year-old for a commercial burglary that occurred at the Promenade Towers office suites at 5225 Pooks Hill Road about 3:06 p.m. July 8. Forced entry; nothing was taken.
Silver Spring District:
A man attempted an armed robbery at the Days Inn at 8040 13th Street in the early morning hours of July 7. The man displayed a weapon.
A residential burglary occurred in the 1700 block of Mount Pisgah Lane between about 9 a.m. and about 7 p.m. July 9. No signs of forced entry; a door was reported to have been left unlocked; property was taken.
Three strong-arm robberies occurred:
- In the 1300 block of East Randolph Road about 9:40 p.m. July 1. Five males assaulted two male juvenile victims and took cash and property from one victim.
- In the 2100 block of East Randolph Road about 8:10 a.m. July 8. The man, about age 30, assaulted the adult female victim and took her property.
- In the 12300 block of Columbia Pike about 7:28 a.m. July 9. The man, about age 30, assaulted the adult female victim and took her property.
Multiple thefts from vehicles occurred between July 3 and July 8. Affected streets included Lockwood, Montclair and Shanandale drives; Olivine Way; Old Columbia Pike; and Hunters Gate Court. Force was reported in three events, four vehicles were reported to have been left unlocked, unknown means of entry into the other vehicles; cash, property, and vehicle parts were taken.
A residential burglary occurred in the 14100 block of Angelton Terrace about 12:18 p.m. July 10. No signs of forced entry; property was taken.
Wheaton District:
Multiple thefts from vehicles occurred between July 3 and July 10. Affected streets included Orangewood Street; and Moonlight Trail, Vierling and Scott drives. No force, multiple vehicles were reported to have been left unlocked, unknown means of entry into the other vehicles; cash and property were taken.
A residential garage burglary occurred in the 21100 block of Georgia Avenue between about 7 p.m. July 10 and about 7 a.m. July 11. Forced entry; property was taken.
Three men committed an armed robbery that occurred in the 4500 block of Faroe Place about 11:41 p.m. July 6. Two men displayed weapons. The men assaulted the adult male victim and took his cash and property.
A burglary occurred at Harmony Hills Elementary School at 13407 Lydia Street about 11:57 p.m. July 9. No signs of forced entry; nothing was taken.
Multiple thefts from vehicles occurred between July 3 and July 12. Affected streets included Bauer Drive, Littleton Street, Veirs Mill Road, and Sheraton Street. No force, multiple vehicles were reported to have been left unlocked, unknown means of entry into the other vehicles; property and vehicle parts were taken.
A theft from vehicle occurred in the 2300 block of Glenmont Circle between about 9 p.m. July 5 and 6:30 a.m. July 6. No force; vehicle parts were taken.
Four thefts from vehicles occurred between July 8 and July 10. Affected streets included the 1900 block of Franwall Avenue and the 11500 block of Nairn Road. Force was reported in one event, the other three vehicles were reported to have been left unlocked; cash and property were taken. Two 15-year-olds and a 13-year-old, all of Silver Spring, were arrested. The teenagers also were arrested for a commercial burglary that occurred at the BP gas station at 2201 University Blvd. West in the early morning hours of July 10. Forced entry; merchandise was taken.
Police seek two men for an aggravated assault that occurred in the 11200 block of Grandview Avenue about 1:54 p.m. July 5. One man displayed a weapon. One man is believed to be age 30. The other is believed to be between the ages of 26 and 35.
Three thefts from vehicles occurred between July 4 and July 8. Affected streets included the 2500 block of Jennings Court and the 11100 block of Veirs Mill Road. Force was reported in one event, one vehicle was reported to have been left unlocked, unknown means of entry into the other vehicle; cash and property were taken.
Germantown District:
A residential barn burglary and motorcycle thefts occurred in the 4500 block of Sundown Road between about 12 a.m. and about 2 p.m. July 10. No signs of forced entry, a door was reported to have been left unlocked; three motorcycles were taken.
An attempted residential burglary occurred in the 12200 block of Elm Forest Court between about 7:45 a.m. and about 3 p.m. July 10.
A theft from vehicle occurred in the 18900 block of Kingsview Road between about 4:30 p.m. July 3 and about 3:20 p.m. July 4. Force; cash and property were taken.
An attempted residential burglary occurred in the 13300 block of Dovedale Way in the early morning hours of July 9.
Montgomery Village District:
Multiple thefts from vehicles occurred in the 12100 block of Pawnee Drive between about 10 p.m. July 9 and about 1 a.m. July 10. No force, all vehicles were reported to have been left unlocked; cash and property were taken.
Four thefts from vehicles occurred between July 4 and July 10. Affected streets included Capehart Drive, Delcris Drive, Montgomery Village Avenue, and Rosewood Manor Lane. No force, two vehicles were reported to have been left unlocked, unknown means of entry into the other vehicles; cash and property were taken.
