Montgomery County Libraries Closed Until April 24
In a tweet Wednesday afternoon, Montgomery County Public Libraries announced all branches and book drops will be closed until April 24. All typically scheduled activities and events will be canceled as well, according to a post on the MCPL website.
These closures align with the extended closure of Montgomery County Schools, according to the post.
With book drops closed, all due dates will be extended until May 4th, and all library fines will be suspended until May 4th as well.
Service Alert: In an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19, all MCPL branches and book drops will remain closed through April 24, 2020, in alignment with Montgomery County Public Schools. All programs, classes, activities and rentals scheduled during the closure are canceled.

Is there a way to get a new library card since we can’t come in person to apply? I’m a teacher and in need of the online resources. Thanks!
