Montgomery County’s third annual GreenFest will take place on May 6 at Bohrer Park in Gaithersburg. This year’s event, according to a news release, will focus on children learning about the role they play in protecting the environment all while having fun.

“Our goal with hosting the Montgomery County GreenFest is to show families, especially children, that anyone can be an environmental champion and continue to make the County a great place to live and work,” Lisa Feldt, director of the Montgomery County Department of Environmental Protection said in a statement.

Activities at GreenFest is suitable for the whole family.  Attendees can expect films on the environment, water themed activities for children, and a Scavenger Hunt game.

Kids that complete the scavenger hunt will be rewarded with prizes from the City of Gaithersburg’s mini-golf course.
