Montgomery County GreenFest Planned for Saturday in Takoma Park

The Second Annual Montgomery County GreenFest is planned for Saturday, April 30 in Takoma Park. County Executive Ike Leggett and Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Gina McCarthy will kick off the event at 11 a.m. GreenFestLogo-2015-Final[1]

GreenFest is the County’s largest environmentally themed festival for residents and businesses. County leaders including Council President Nancy Floreen, Councilmembers Roger Berliner, Tom Hucker, George Leventhal and Hans Riemer as well as State Senator Jamie Raskin (D-District 20) and Takoma Park Mayor Katie Stewart will attend the event.

Activities include live music, educational sessions and workshops, an electric vehicle show and more.

GreenFest is planned to run until 4 p.m. and will take place at the Takoma Park Community Center which is located at 7500 Maple Avenue.
