Montgomery County Government Launches Revamped Website (PHOTO)

MC_Mobile_Site_10-12-15Montgomery County Government unveiled a new and improved website today, showcasing more mobile friendly content. The redesign had three specific goals: responsive web design, optimized search engine, and improved navigation.  So, the end result is a much cleaner site that is “information-centric,” with the most current content featured.

County officials took into consideration feedback, website metrics, and usability studies to help guide the site update. The team looked at 13,000 user survey responses, which highlighted that site navigation was the most wanted improvement.  The team also found that 35% of all County web sessions occur through mobile devices.

County Executive Ike Leggett released the following statement: “[The redesigned website] will further my goal of making Montgomery County Government more transparent and accessible. The new site will make it easier for residents to connect with their government and find services they need.”

Now, it should be noted that not all pages have been updated. The site design extends to only County Executive site.  The County Council site is set to launch its redesigned site by late November.
