Montgomery Council Cancels Monday’s Transportation Public Forum
The Transportation and Environment (T&E) Committee has canceled Monday night’s public forum that was scheduled for 7 p.m. at the County Council Office Building in Rockville.
At Monday morning’s media briefing, Council President Sidney Katz announced that two the public forum had been canceled given the coronavirus situation.
“Transportation and Environment Chair Tom Hucker has decided to cancel tonight’s public forum that he had scheduled at 7 p.m.”, Katz said. “Residents can still express their views via email…or by contacting Hucker’s office.”
The forum was intended to gather feedback from residents on the county’s transportation priorities. The Montgomery County Council and the County Executive periodically send a joint letter detailing county funding priorities to the Maryland Department of Transportation for unfunded transportation projects.
Residents may send their testimony to Tom.Hucker@molntgomerycountymd.gov or send hard copies to 100 Maryland Avenue, Rockville, MD 20850. Anyone with questions or comment may call 204.777.7960.
The T&E Committee is scheduled to discuss the state transportation priorities letter on March 12 at 2 p.m., and the full Council is scheduled to review the letter on March 17.
