Montgomery College Building in Germantown Will Bear Dr. Pollard’s Name
Montgomery College announced on social media that its Board of Trustees unanimously approved a resolution to rename one of its facilities after Dr. DeRionne Pollard, the college’s former president.
The student affairs building at the Germantown Campus will soon be called the Dr. DeRionne P. Pollard Student Affairs and Science Building to honor the contributions Pollard made to the college during her more than 10 year tenure.

Pollard left Montgomery College in May to serve as president of Nevada State College. Dr. Charlene Mickens Dukes, former president of Prince George’s Community College, will begin serving as Montgomery College’s interim president on Aug. 7.
