MoCo’s Got Talent Winners Announced (PHOTOS)
After two rounds of auditions over the last several weeks, winners of the fourth annual MoCo’s Got Talent contest were selected during the final round on Sunday evening at the Fillmore in Silver Spring.
The contest, coordinated by the Montgomery County Department of Recreation’s Youth Development team, is a way to keep youth healthy, productive and connected, according to Carmen Berrios Martinez, communications and public outreach coordinator for the Department of Recreation.
More than 70 contestants in the performing arts categories of music and dance and 45 visual artist submissions were counted for this year’s competition.
Winners were selected by local art professionals who rated finalists on the following criteria: creativity, originality, quality, audience appeal & skill level.
Here are the four first place winners for 2017:
