MoCo Volunteer Council Top in Nation

The Corporate Volunteer Council of Montgomery County (CVC-MC) was recognized nationally for its commitment to teaching businesses about building partnerships with non-profit organizations. A relationship that benefits businesses and communities through volunteering and networking opportunities.

The 25-year-old organization assists more than 60 businesses in the area.

(CVC-MC) received the honor by Points of Light at its annual conference on volunteering and service on June 20 in Washington, DC. Points of Light helps to organize about 4 million people a year in volunteerism.

“The CVC[-MC] is honored to receive the Points of Light’s National CVC of the Year Award and we are inspired to do more for the County,” said Will Schroeder, CVC-MC President and Attorney at Law at Shulman Rogers.
