MOCO Public Libraries Launch Spring Reading Challenge

The Montgomery County Public Libraries has launched the Beasts and Blooms Spring Reading Challenging to encourage kids and teens to read. The challenge is open to all kids and teens up to 17-years-old.

Participants can read any book of their choice, including ebooks, which they can access with a Digital Library Card. For each hour they read, participants earn an online badge. At eight hours, participants will receive a tote bag, which they can receive once MCPL branches reopen.

“This is a great opportunity for teens and kids to have fun while reading, whether it’s for recreation or for an assignment,” said MCPL Director Anita Vassallo in a press release.

The Beasts and Blooms Spring Reading Challenge ends on May 31.
