MoCo Hacks Toward Civic Improvement (Video)

Montgomery County officials pulled on the expertise in the community for their first Civic Day of Hacking. The event hosted on June 1 at The Universities of Shady Grove, was one of about 95 held around the country.

Officials pitched five issues to a room full of about 50 technology savvy residents.

Check out some of those issues from Daniel Hoffman who is Montgomery County’s Chief Innovation Officer.

Other issues included connecting excess food to shelters and building an app for environmental resources in the county. To learn more about how you can participate, email Daniel.hoffman@montgomerycountymd.gov or follow him on Twitter at @MocoDanHoffman.
