MLK, Jr. Literary Contest (Video)
Two Montgomery County students were honored at the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. tribute on Jan. 20 for their award winning essay and poem. The awardees, Maya Walker of Gaithersburg Elementary and Joey Lambert of Oakland Terrace Elementary, then shared their winning contributions on stage. Walker is also the Junior Mayor of Gaithersburg. First grader Carol Lin of Ashbury Elementary also received an honorable mention in the contest.
