Missing Teen from Kensington

UPDATED,  Sept. 17, 1 p.m.- Shantol Ramela Anderson, who was missing from Kensington, has been found, according to a tweet from Montgomery County Police.

Police are asking for the public’s help finding a missing Kensington teen.

Police are concerned for the welfare of Shantol Ramela Anderson, 18, of the 4100 block of Plyers Mill Road in Kensington. Anderson is described as a black female, approximately 5’05″ tall, 123 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen leaving her home and getting into the vehicle of an acquaintance unknown to her family on Friday, Sept. 12 at approximately 7:28 p.m. She was reported missing by her family in the evening Sept. 15.

Although Anderson is 18, she functions at the level of a 12 year old, according to police.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Shantol Anderson is asked to call the police non-emergency number at 301.279.8000 (24 hour line).
