Missing Gaithersburg Man Reportedly Seen Near Darnestown

UPDATED, Aug. 28 at 6 p.m.- Police are continuing to search for a missing Gaithersburg man, but say they have received multiple calls from people who may have seen him.
Martin John Rogers, 54, of the 12900 block of Riffle Ford Court in Gaithersburg, was last seen in Montgomery County on Aug. 21 at approximately 7:30 a.m.
Since that time, police have received multiple calls regarding possible sightings on the towpath of the C & O Canal. Earlier in the week, Rogers was reported to have been in the Cumberland area and the northern portion of the towpath outside of Montgomery County. Aug. 28, Rogers was reported to have been seen at approximately 8:20 a.m. in the area of Edwards Ferry, near Poolesville and Violettes Lock near Darnestown.
Police and family remain concerned for Rogers’ emotional well-being and physical welfare.

UPDATED 8-25-14 Montgomery County Police are asking for the public’s assistance in finding a missing Gaithersburg man.
Police said Martin John Rogers, 54, of the 12900 block of Riffle Ford Court in Gaithersburg, was last seen in Montgomery County on Aug. 21 at approximately 7:30 a.m. as he left his home to go to work in Poolesville. Rogers was driving a blue 2001 Audi A4 with Maryland tags, 1BF6739
Since that report, detectives received information that Rogers was seen around 11 a.m. on Aug. 21 in the area of Cumberland, Maryland.
Rogers is described as a white male, approximately 5’10″ tall, 150 pounds, with gray/white hair and blue eyes. He wears glasses and was last seen wearing brown khaki pants and a green and tan checkered, collared shirt.
Police and family are concerned for Rogers’ emotional well-being.
