Milkshakes and Breakfast – Available Now at the New Silver Diner RIO

The Silver Diner restaurant in Gaithersburg, Maryland offering breakfast, lunch, dinner and late-night hours is now open in the RIO.

The Gaithersburg-Germantown Chamber of Commerce (GGCC) supported the Silver Diner at the grand opening of its restaurant on August 22. They are located at 9811 Washingtonian Blvd. Suite L10

The Silver Diner at Rio is the latest piece of the center’s $30 million renovation project. This is the 16th restaurant for the D.C.-area chain, and the first to include an indoor/outdoor patio and bar. The diner is located on the RIO’s new boardwalk and next to the brand-new performance stage. RIO will unveil its new brand at its Grand RIOpening planned for the weekend of September 12-14, 2019.

Silver Diner offers a large variety of healthier options including 600 Calorie entrees, Gluten-Free choices, vegan / vegetarian options, and heart-healthy options. They partner with more than fifteen local farms ensuring the freshest ingredients in their dishes.

They are committed to healthier kids by serving complete meals with fruit or vegetable and milk or juice, and by offers twenty ‘Kids LiveWell’ healthier menu items – the most of any restaurant in the country.

Laura is the Director of Events & Marketing for the Gaithersburg-Germantown Chamber of Commerce - a member-based organization of businesses that have joined together for the purpose of promoting the civic, commercial and industrial progress in our communities. The area's economic well-being is a result of the caliber of work that is done by the Chamber. The Chamber has a major impact on business, income and future growth of the area. My position at the Chamber - Director of Events & Marketing - affords me the opportunity to plan quality events for our Members and market the Chamber is a variety of avenues. At the GGCC, we typically have around 30 events each year including: breakfasts, lunches, after-five's, ribbon cuttings and special events. The consensus is we have high quality events with good energy. In 2012, we had over 2,040 people visit our events. Most our events are free to Members so securing sponsorships for all events. Additionally, I am responsible for planning networking, overseeing the budget and marketing of all events in order to make them successful. Lastly, I coordinate all marketing and communication efforts of the GGCC including weekly email blasts, its quarterly newsletter, all social media platforms, media relations and community outreach.
