Montgomery County police have charged Josh Andrews Greenberg (28) of Gaithersburg with two counts of visual surveillance with prurient interest.

According to police, Greenburg is a building service worker at the Herbert Hoover Middle School where the alleged visual surveillance of students occurred in the girls’ locker room.

According to police, the two peeping tom incidents occurred on or about Oct. 1 and on Nov. 6.

Police said a staff office is located adjacent to the girls’ locker room and there is a window with blinds that look into the girls’ locker room. Police said Greenberg used the staff window to observe girls changing their clothes in the locker room on these two dates. In addition, police say school video surveillance aided in the identification of Greenberg as the suspect.

Police said during questioning, Greenberg admitted to the two incidents. He was arrested and transported to the Central Processing Unit the evening of Nov. 7 and charged with two counts of visual surveillance with prurient intent.

The Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) system has confirmed that it has placed Greenberg on administrative leave.
