Mid-County Citizens Advisory Board Has Two Vacancies

The Board is comprised of 15 residents and businesses from the following areas: Upper Rock Creek, Wheaton, Kensington, Kemp Mill, Aspen Hill, Glenmont, Norbeck, Forest Glen, Olney, Brookeville, and Sandy Spring.
The Board serves as a liaison between the community, the County Executive, County Council, and county government departments by identifying community concerns and recommending possible solutions. It also advises the director of the Mid-County Services Center on transportation, economic development, housing, education, human services, environment, recreation, public safety and other issues of importance to the area.
Members serve three-year terms without compensation, but are eligible for reimbursement for travel and dependent care for meetings attended. Meetings are usually held the third Tuesday evening of each month at the Mid-County Services Center, which is located at 2424 Reedie Drive in Wheaton.
