M/I Homes will build 20-foot luxury town homes with two car garages in the Crown West neighborhood. M/I Homes will open a sales center early March with model homes anticipated to be complete by early summer. These 3-4 level homes will feature brick and stone facades with dynamic interiors from the low $600s, and will include flexible living space for today’s life styles with optional fourth-level lofts, outdoor-living spaces and abundant natural light.

“One of our core values at M/I Homes is building in premiere communities with great schools, convenient shopping and desirable amenities,” said Area President Jerry Berman of M/I Homes. “Crown is an ideal example of the kind of community we seek, and we are excited to be a part of it.”

M/I Homes join Pulte Homes and KBHome as builders in the Crown West neighborhood.

Crown, with its Downtown Crown mixed-use core, will feature up to 2,250 residential units and 320,000 square feet of retail and commercial space on 182 acres in Gaithersburg, near Interstate 270 and the Intercounty Connector. Crown West is the first residential neighborhood offering 400 town homes and single-family homes.

Ground was broken in October on phase one development, which in addition to the Crown West neighborhood includes Downtown Crown—nearly 260,000 square feet of retail space by JBG Rosenfeld Retail and Cadence, a 538-unit apartment community by The Bozutto Group.
