Metropolitan Branch Trail Opens
A portion of the Metropolitan Branch Trail at the Silver Spring Metro Station opened on January 11 to enhance accessibility around the Transit Center. The trail reestablishes pedestrian connections from the northbound MARC platform.
The portion of the trail that was opened extends from the south end of the MARC train platform to the transit plaza in front of the Metro Station.
During the next month, weather permitting, the trail will be extended to Ripley Street.
