Metro Service Changes for Monday, March 17

Metro announced today they will suspend the MetroAccess paratransit service on Monday, March 17 due to the weather forecast and expected poor road condiditons. Metrobus service is expected to start Monday with planned snow detours in effect. Some routes will be adjusted to avoid hilly, narrow streets. Riders are encouraged to check Metro website for details.

Due to forecast weather and road conditions, Metrobus service is expected to begin Monday on a “moderate” snow service plan, meaning that many Metrobus routes will have planned snow detours in effect to keep buses off of hilly terrain, narrow side streets and other problem areas. Most, if not all, Metrobus routes are expected to operate under the moderate snow service plan.

Riders can get details and check maps showing the planned detours by using the links below:

All bus service may experience delays due to weather road conditions. Please allow additional time and use extreme caution when traveling. For your safety, never stand in the roadway while waiting for a bus. For delay and detour information affecting individual routes, check the Metro’s bus alerts page.

Additional service changes for Monday are possible and will be announced tonight based on weather conditions and forecast. All Metro customers are encouraged to sign up for MetroAlerts email and text messages to receive this information directly.
