Meeting Connects MCPS with Stoneman Douglas Students

Weeks after a high school shooting in Florida that left 17 people dead, students from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School gathered at Montgomery Blair High School Monday evening to discuss gun violence with Montgomery County Public Schools’ students.

The meeting comes one week after students across Montgomery County’s school system staged a walkout to the U.S. Capitol to encourage members of Congress to change the gun laws.

U.S. Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) joined U.S. Rep. Ted Deutch (D-FL) at the school to interact with students.
