Meet Local Author at The Wine Harvest in Potomac

Local author, freelance writer and native Washingtonian, Sharon Allen Gilder will be on-site for a book signing at The Wine Harvest, 12525-B Park Potomac Avenue, Potomac, Tuesday, Sept. 23 from 5 to 7 p.m. for the launch of her novel, The Rose Beyond.

Set in 1897, Gilder’s historical romance is a tumultuous mix of passion, obsession, love and loss as inevitability comes calling to the Washington, D.C. home of Sir Ian Hargrove, his wife, Elsbeth and their daughter, Arielle.

The Rose Beyond is about a family that resides in Washington, D.C. with ties to England and Wales, and a long-buried secret that surfaces through a letter written by a woman in England who is on her deathbed. The letter triggers a series of events and discoveries leading several of the characters to question their relationships and ultimately leads them to test their tenacity and the bonds of love.

From England to Wales, to the U.S. capital, The Rose Beyond is a fragrant reminder of the tenacity of the human spirit and the power of love.
