MCPS Hosting ‘A Courageous Conversation on the Impact of Racism on Mental Health’

Montgomery County Public Schools will host a two-part virtual event to discuss the impact of racism on mental health. The event will be held on June 30 and July 7.

Both sessions will be led by Dr. Christina Conolly, director of psychological services for MCPS as well as John Landesman, a coordinator in the Equity Initiatives Unit. Both events will consist of a panel discussion and Q&A session.

The June 30 session will focus on analyzing different barriers one may face when seeking help for mental health. Conolly and Landesman will also discuss different ways to change mindsets around mental health.

The July 7 session will center on different ways individuals can seek help and support for mental concerns.
