MCPS Graduation Ceremonies Kick Off May 27th
Graduation season is in full swing and more than 10,000 Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) students are expected to receive their diplomas during commencement ceremonies, which start May 27th.
MCPS has released the list of commencement speakers that includes Medal of Honor recipient Captain Florent Groberg, who is scheduled to speak at his alma mater’s ceremony, Walter Johnson High School, and award winning chef Jose Andres at Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School’s commencement.
Commencements for the following schools are happening on May 27th:
- Alternative Education Programs with Montgomery County Councilmember Craig Rice as the speaker.
- Montgomery Blair High School with Ceicillia Munoz, assistant to the President of the United States and Director of Domestic Policy Council as the speaker.
- Winston Churchill High School, with Tisha Thompson, investigative reporter for NBC 4 as the speaker.
