Jim Shalleck’s Closing Statement at Candidates Forum (Video)

The forum was sponsored by the Montgomery County Education Association (MCEA), the Service Employees International Union Local 500, and the Montgomery County Association of Administrators and Principals.
“I am running because I think I have ideas out of the box,” said Shalleck, who stressed public safety at schools. “I don’t want to see a CNN helicopter over this school.”
He also said he wants to get the county out of the liquor business.

The other candidates who took part in this forum included, Phil Andrews, Doug Duncan and Isiah Leggett. The primary election is set for June 24.
