MCM Seeks New Board Member Nominees

Montgomery Community Media (MCM) is undertaking to strengthen its governance and continued ability to serve the public communications needs for Montgomery County. In 2012, the Board of Directors (BOD) made the decision to transition its board from the current quasi-governmental, representative structure to a more classic nonprofit board model. Recruitment of a new board for MCM is currently underway, with the goal of seating a new Board during the fall of 2013.

We are asking the public to help identify potential candidates to serve on our new board. We are particularly interested in developing a diverse Board with priority skills in the areas of government relations, financial management, fundraising, law, business, marketing and public relations, social media and video production. We hope to select directors who have nonprofit board experience and are well connected in the business, education and/or media community.
