MCM Announces New Board of Directors (PHOTOS)
UPDATED Montgomery Community Media announced its new Board of Directors at a Nov. 17 meeting this week that Executive Director Merlyn Reineke described as “historic.”
The new Board includes 12 at-large members and three, elected, access users. Reineke serves as a non-voting member of the Board.
The other board members are: President Jeffrey Slavin, Vice President Aida Flores, Secretary Beth Suarez, Treasurer Juanita Farmer, Erik Causey, Roger Conner, Monica Costas, H. Austin Esfandiary, April Kaplan, Dottie Li, Bill Lynch, Kiran Meegada, Jorge Restrepo, Vernon Ricks and Shiree Skinner.
In his “State of MCM” address on Nov. 19, Reineke paid tribute to the outgoing board and executive committee, who he said worked tirelessly to ensure a smooth transition.
As for the future, Reineke said: “I look forward to joining our new Board in an exciting year of fundraising and community development work, as we continue to grow MCM’s value to Montgomery County.”
